Veterinary Technician

Licensed veterinary technicians handle virtually all aspects of patient care including taking x-rays, drawing blood and other samples, running diagnostic tests, giving treatments, performing minor procedures, and assisting in surgery. They assist veterinarians in client communication and education, and supervise veterinary assistants. Other duties are assigned as needed.

Veterinary Assistant

This person primarily assists veterinarians and technicians with patient care. Other duties include assisting receptionists with phone calls and record management, running lab tests, and maintaining hospital cleanliness.

Veterinary Assistants have direct contact with clients and pets and must therefore have good people and animal skills. They are usually trained on the job. Additional responsibilities such as inventory manager or records archivist are often assigned to talented and responsible persons.

Team fit is very important to us, so we will train the right person. Education and experience are desired, but not required. Persons available to work some weekends are preferred. Medical, dental, vision, and paid vacation available.
